Sunday Share
I had a conversation with a good friend of mine and explained to her how I find it easier to express myself through poetry than any of the other creative mediums I’ve tried. Not because it doesn’t come with effort, but because, for me, it is akin to breathing. I even have a tendency to think and process my thoughts in prose.
In light of that, I’ve decided to challenge myself by writing at least 1 poem per day. The purpose of my challenge is to practice connecting my humanity and creativity with the page and allowing it expression. I hope that expression becomes more authentic and honest with practice. As a thank you to you all for supporting my writing endeavors, I want to share some of these poems with you - 1 every Sunday. (Usually it will be much earlier in the day.) These are by no means polished or necessarily existent in their final form.
I hope that as you read these you will be able to catch glimpses and become curious regarding your humanity as well. If you happen to have a topic or idea you’d like me to write around, leave it in the comments. You just might see the product of it show up in your inbox one of these Sundays…
